Viel Spass beim Anschaun und Kommentieren!
Wir sind seit gut 22 Tagen auf den Strassen unterwegs. Es ist Zeit, ein paar Zahlen zum Thema Benzin, Entfernungen, etc. hier loszuwerden. Vllt. hilfts ja jemanden beim Planen seiner eigenen Rundreise 🙂
Wir sind 6069 Kilometer in 22 Tagen gefahren. Das ist ein Schnitt von rund 275 Kilometer pro Tag.
Bisher haben wir fuer $970 (ca. €490) getankt. Das sind nur fürs Benzin rund $44 (ca. €22) pro Tag.
Im Schnitt, rechnen wir mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 85km/h, da dies fuer den Econovan am ökonomischsten ist. (Tatsaechlich fahren wir zwischen 80 und 100km/h, je nach Gefaelle und Gegenwind. Das treibt so ziehmlich jeden Road Train in den Wahnsinn und als Folge in ein Ueberholmanoever aber … egal 🙂 )
Die laengste Distanz an einem Tag waren rund 600 Kilometer, und das war recht anstrengend. Keine Ueberraschung, dass das ueber die Nullarbor Plain war 🙂
Die Klimaanlage traegt, zu unserer Ueberraschung, kaum etwas zum Spritverbrauch bei.
Aja, und weitaus teurer als Benzin ist Bier (rund $3 / Liter, und das ist das guenstigste das ich so gefunden hab) in Australien.
This posting is for our English speaking guys. Since I haven’t found any source about the current fuelprices along the Eyre Highway, compared to the rest of the country, I will publish them here. The prices are for ULP (no premium) and diesel per litre, recorded during our trip across the plain from 16.02.2009 until 18.02.2009. I will quote prices for fuel at Esperance to give you an idea what “normal” is.
Esperance/Norseman: ULP 125.9c, Diesel 129.9c
Belladonia: ULP 159c, Diesel 169c
Caiguna: ULP 167.1c, Diesel 162.9c
Cocklebiddy: ULP 163.7c, Diesel 167.7c
Madura: ULP 170c, Diesel 168c
Mundrabilla: ULP 154c, Diesel 158c
Eucla: ULP 154c, Diesel 158c
Nullarbor Roadhouse: ULP 163.9c
Nundroo: ULP 130.9c, Diesel 129.9c
Penong: ULP 130.9c, Diesel 125.9c
Mundrabilla Roadhouse promotes themselfes as being “the cheapest fuel station on the Nullarbor” which is right so far. However, this can change every second so please use this as a guide only 🙂
